1Aim and Scope

The 2nd International Health Studies Congress welcomes scientific studies in health sciences, clinical practices, digital health, psychological well-being, rehabilitation sciences, public health, health policies, nursing, pharmacy, health technologies, and related disciplines.

Theoretical, applied, clinical, experimental, methodological, review-based, and interdisciplinary studies may be considered within the scope of the congress.

Submitted papers are expected to be related to the main theme, sub-themes, and scientific scope of the congress. Studies that fall outside the scope of the congress, lack sufficient scientific quality, or are found ethically inappropriate may be excluded from the review process.

2Submission System

Paper submissions will be received online through the CMT system. Submissions sent by e-mail will not be included in the review process.

Authors are responsible for entering all required information in the CMT system completely, accurately, and up to date. The title, abstract, keywords, author details, affiliation information, country, ORCID information, and subject areas must be entered correctly.

The information entered into the CMT system may be used for the peer review process, congress program, acceptance letters, certificates, and proceedings preparation. Therefore, authors are responsible for incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information.

3Paper Types

The following types of submissions may be submitted to the congress:

• Abstract paper
• Full paper
• Oral presentation
• Poster presentation

Abstracts must be entered into the relevant fields in the CMT system. No separate Word file is required for abstract submission.

Authors who wish to submit a full paper must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the official Full Paper Template provided by the congress.

4Abstract Preparation Principles

The abstract should clearly present the aim, method, main findings, originality, and scientific contribution of the study.

The abstract should not include tables, figures, references, footnotes, acknowledgements, or information that may reveal the identity of the authors.

Abstracts should be written in a clear, coherent, and academic style. The topic, method, and contribution of the study should be clearly identifiable in the abstract.

Keywords reflecting the content of the study must be added for each submission. Keywords should represent the main concepts, method, and subject area of the study.

Abstracts must be submitted in accordance with the word limit and fields specified in the CMT system.

5Full Paper Preparation Principles

Authors whose abstracts are accepted and who wish to submit a full paper must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the official Full Paper Template provided by the congress.

Full papers are generally expected to include the following sections:

• Title
• Author information
• Affiliation and country information
• ORCID information
• Abstract and keywords
• Introduction, method, findings, discussion, and conclusion
• Declarations
• References

Section headings may be adapted according to the type of study. However, each manuscript should have a clear and traceable structure in terms of its aim, method, findings, discussion, conclusion, and scientific contribution.

Authors are responsible for the copyright and permission status of all tables, figures, images, data, scales, maps, or other materials used in full papers.

6Language and International Visibility

The congress languages are Turkish and English.

Papers prepared in Turkish must include an English title, English abstract, and English keywords.

Papers prepared in English are expected to be checked for academic language, grammar, spelling, and clarity. Language, writing, and referencing errors may negatively affect the review process.

In order to increase international visibility, it is important that titles, abstracts, keywords, author affiliations, and reference information are presented in a standardized, accurate, and complete manner.

7Author Information and ORCID

The full name, affiliation, country, e-mail address, and ORCID information of all authors must be entered correctly into the system.

Since ORCID is a key researcher identifier that enables the accurate international identification of authors, all authors are expected to provide their ORCID information.

The corresponding author is responsible for the accuracy of the author list, approval of the author order by all authors, confirmation that all authors have seen the final version of the study, and the complete submission of required declarations.

Only individuals who have made a meaningful academic contribution to the study should be listed as authors. Adding individuals who did not contribute to the study or excluding contributors from the author list is considered an ethical violation.

8Peer Review Process

Submitted papers undergo preliminary screening and scientific review.

During preliminary screening, submissions may be checked for relevance to the congress scope, completeness of CMT submission, compliance with basic academic standards, ethical declaration requirements, and any elements that may reveal author identity.

Papers that pass preliminary screening are included in the scientific review process.

During scientific review, papers are generally evaluated according to the following criteria:

• Relevance to the congress scope
• Originality and scientific contribution
• Theoretical or practical value
• Methodological adequacy
• Clarity of findings
• Consistency of discussion and conclusions
• Adequacy of references
• Compliance with ethical principles
• Academic writing quality

As a result of the review process, papers may receive an acceptance, rejection, or revision decision.

The congress management and scientific committee reserve the right to exclude studies that are found scientifically or ethically inappropriate.

9Blind Review and Impartiality

The review process is based on impartiality, academic integrity, and confidentiality.

To ensure a proper blind review process, authors should not include information in review files that directly or indirectly reveals their identity.

Reviewers should evaluate submissions only on the basis of scientific quality, methodological adequacy, originality, ethical compliance, and academic contribution.

Reviewers and committee members should not take part in the review process of papers for which they have a conflict of interest.

10Ethical Principles

Authors acknowledge that their submitted work complies with the principles of scientific research and publication ethics.

Studies involving human participants, patients, students, clinical data, personal data, experimental procedures, fieldwork, or any research requiring ethical approval must have obtained the necessary ethics committee approval.

For studies requiring ethics committee approval, the name of the committee, decision date, and decision number must be clearly stated in the full paper.

In studies requiring informed consent, it must be stated that consent was obtained from participants or their legal representatives.

Personal data, patient information, images, clinical records, and sensitive data must be used in accordance with relevant legal regulations and ethical principles.

Studies suspected of ethical violations may be removed from the review process. If an ethical violation is detected after review or publication, the relevant paper may be withdrawn.

11Plagiarism and Similarity Policy

Submitted papers must be original and must not have been previously published in the same form.

Ideas, methods, data, expressions, tables, figures, scales, images, or findings taken from another work must be used with proper citation.

Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, misleading authorship, uncited quotation, and unethical similarity are not accepted.

The congress management may check submissions for similarity when necessary. Works with unethical similarity may be excluded from evaluation or removed from the publication process.

The similarity rate alone is not the sole criterion for a final decision. The nature, source, scope, and ethical implications of similarity may be evaluated by the scientific committee.

12Artificial Intelligence Use Policy

AI-supported tools may be used in a limited manner for language editing, proofreading, translation support, formatting improvement, or improving textual clarity.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Authors are fully responsible for the scientific content, accuracy, references, methodology, data analysis, ethical compliance, and conclusions of their work.

If AI-supported tools have been used for content generation, translation, analysis, image generation, or text production, this must be clearly stated in the relevant declaration section.

Authors must not use AI-generated information without verification and must not include non-existent references, unverified claims, or fabricated citations.

13Author Declarations

Full papers must include the following declarations:

• Author Contributions: The contribution of each author to the study must be clearly stated.
• Conflict of Interest Statement: Authors must declare whether there is any personal, academic, commercial, or financial conflict of interest.
• Funding Statement: If the study was supported by any institution, project, grant, or fund, the support information must be stated.
• Ethics Committee Statement: For studies requiring ethics approval, the committee name, decision date, and decision number must be provided.
• Informed Consent Statement: For studies involving human participants, it must be stated that the necessary consent was obtained.
• Data Availability Statement: The availability status of research data or reasons for confidentiality must be explained.
• AI Use Statement: If an AI-supported tool was used, the tool name, purpose, and scope of use must be stated.
• Acknowledgements: Individuals or institutions that contributed may be acknowledged where appropriate.

14Referencing and References

All sources used in papers must be cited in accordance with academic writing rules.

In-text citations and references must be prepared according to APA 7th edition guidelines.

All works listed in the references must be cited in the text, and all works cited in the text must appear in the reference list.

DOI information must be provided for sources that have a DOI.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, currency, and accessibility of references.

15Copyright, Publication, and Open Access Policy

Authors are responsible for the scientific, ethical, and legal aspects of the papers they submit.

Authors acknowledge that their submitted work does not infringe the copyrights of third parties, that necessary permissions have been obtained, and that the work is original.

Accepted and presented papers may be published in the abstract book, full paper proceedings, or relevant academic publication channels in accordance with the congress publication policy.

The publication of proceedings, open access status, ISBN/DOI information, publication license, and other publication details will be announced separately on the congress website.

Authors accept that their works included in the publication process may be published in accordance with academic publication ethics, copyright rules, and open access policies.

16Publication Ethics and Misconduct Procedures

The congress is based on the principles of academic integrity, transparency, impartial review, and publication ethics.

In cases of suspected ethical misconduct, the congress management and the relevant scientific committee may conduct the necessary examination.

Ethical violations may include:

• Plagiarism or self-plagiarism
• Data fabrication or data falsification
• Misleading authorship or gift authorship
• Concealment of conflicts of interest
• Failure to obtain required ethics committee approval
• Intentional misrepresentation of references
• Failure to disclose the use of artificial intelligence

Works found to involve ethical misconduct may be removed from the review process, have their acceptance cancelled, or be withdrawn from the publication process.

17Presentation Process

For accepted papers to be included in the congress program, they must be presented by at least one author.

Presentations may be delivered in person or online according to the session structure specified in the congress program.

Presentation duration, session format, technical requirements, and the presentation template will be announced separately on the relevant pages of the congress website.

Papers that are not presented may not be certified or included in the publication process, depending on the decision of the congress management.

18Updates and Announcements

Submission deadlines, acceptance notifications, registration process, congress program, presentation template, publication process, and other operational information will be announced separately on the relevant pages of the congress website.

Authors are responsible for regularly following current announcements on the congress website and notifications sent through the CMT system.

The academic and ethical principles in these guidelines constitute the main framework. When operational information is updated, the relevant pages of the congress website shall prevail.
