Paper Submission Guidelines
1. Purpose and Scope
This guideline has been prepared to establish the standards for the preparation, submission, and evaluation processes of papers to be submitted to the International Health Studies Congress, which will be held in Andijan, Uzbekistan, on June 19-21, 2025. The guideline aims to enhance the scientific quality of the papers and ensure a transparent evaluation process.
2. Paper Submission Process
2.1. General Principles
- Papers must be submitted electronically through the congress system
- Submitted papers must be original, unpublished, and not under review at any other congress.
- Only abstracts (250-500 words) or full-text papers will be accepted.
- The topic of the paper must align with the main theme of the congress, which is:
“Science, Technology and Human Health” - The study is expected to contribute to international literature.
2.2. Submission Deadlines
- Abstract Submission Deadline: June 5, 2025
- Full Paper Submission Deadline: June 25, 2025
2.3. Language Preferences
- The official languages of the congress are Turkish, English, and Uzbek.
- Turkish and Uzbek papers must include English titles, abstracts, and keywords to enhance international accessibility and recognition.
- English papers should be carefully reviewed for grammatical and spelling errors. Authors are strongly advised to have their papers edited by a professional language service or reviewed by a native English-speaking colleague before submission.
- The congress offers professional English editing services upon request. Authors who wish to utilize this service should submit their papers to academicianstudies@gmail.com.
- A scientific and concise writing style should be maintained, avoiding unnecessarily lengthy or complex expressions.
- Papers in Turkish, English, and Uzbek must adhere to spelling and punctuation rules. The following references should be used:
- Turkish papers: Turkish Language Association (TDK)
- English papers: Oxford English Dictionary (OED)
- Uzbek papers: “O‘zbek tilining imlo lug‘ati” and the Uzbekistan Republic Institute of Linguistics
2.4. Responsibilities of the Corresponding Author
- Ensuring that all authors are included in the author list and that the final version of the paper is approved.
- Managing communication and overseeing the revision process.
3. Paper Format
3.1. File Format
- Papers must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
- Abstract papers must adhere to the guidelines and be between 250-500 words. Click here for the abstract template.
- Full-text papers, including abstract, main text, tables, references, and appendices, should be at least 1,500 words and not exceed 10 pages. If exceeding the 10-page limit is necessary due to the nature of the study, editorial approval must be obtained. Click here for the full paper template.
3.2. Page Layout
- Paper size: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm)
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size:
- Titles: 12 pt, bold
- Main text: 11 pt
- Abstract and footnotes: 9 pt
3.3. Title Information
- The title must accurately reflect the content of the paper and should be centered, bold, and written in Times New Roman 12 pt.
- Titles should be written in uppercase letters (except conjunctions).
- If the paper is derived from a postgraduate thesis, this should be indicated in a footnote attached to the title.
- If applicable, funding and sponsorship acknowledgments should also be included in a footnote on the first page.
3.4. Author Information
Note: Author details will be added to the paper only after acceptance. The following format should be used:
- The name(s) and surname(s) of the author(s) should be placed below the title, centered, in 11 pt Times New Roman.
- Only the first letters of names and surnames should be capitalized.
- The academic title, institution, email, and ORCID ID of each author should be provided as a footnote.
- Authors are required to include their ORCID ID. Registration can be done at https://orcid.org/register.
3.5. Abstract and Keywords
- All papers must include an abstract of 250-500 words, structured according to the following format.
- Abstract format:
- Font: Times New Roman, 9 pt
- Alignment: Justified
- Line spacing: Single
- The abstract should concisely present the study’s objective, methodology, findings, and originality.
- Turkish and Uzbek papers must include:
- First, the Turkish/Uzbek title, abstract, and keywords
- Then, the English title, abstract, and keywords
- Below the abstract, at least three and a maximum of five keywords should be provided. For Turkish papers, keywords must also be listed in English.
- Evaluation Process
- Papers will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review system, ensuring the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
- Reviewers will assess papers based on originality, scientific contribution, methodological adequacy, clarity of findings, and writing quality.
- Based on the evaluation, papers will be classified as “accepted,” “rejected,” or “revision required.”

- Ethical Principles
- Authors are responsible for the originality of their submissions.
- The congress maintains a strict stance against all forms of unethical behavior, plagiarism, and duplicate submissions. By submitting their papers, authors declare that their work is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- Self-plagiarism or failure to properly cite previous work, whether entirely or partially, is strictly prohibited.
- Papers must be checked using Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar plagiarism detection software before submission.
- A similarity index below 20% is required.
- Mandatory Declarations in the Paper:
- Contribution Statement: The contribution of each author to the paper should be explicitly stated.
- Conflict of Interest Statement: Any potential commercial or financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
- Ethical Compliance Statement: Authors must confirm that their study adheres to ethical standards.
- Plagiarism Check Statement: Papers must include a statement confirming that the similarity index is below 20% based on Turnitin or similar software.
